00:00:00,580 –> 00:00:03,070
A tool developed for
the oil and gas industry
2
00:00:03,070 –> 00:00:04,980
to reduce paraffin, asphalt,
3
00:00:04,980 –> 00:00:08,050
and mineral deposits in
oil wells now is available
4
00:00:08,050 –> 00:00:11,510
for home use as a
chemical-free water softener.
5
00:00:11,510 –> 00:00:14,210
A Durango woman is the
first in the United States
6
00:00:14,210 –> 00:00:15,870
to carry the product.
7
00:00:15,870 –> 00:00:17,624
You’re watching “The Local News Network,”
8
00:00:17,624 –> 00:00:20,290
brought to you by Serious Texas Bar-B-Q
9
00:00:20,290 –> 00:00:21,950
and The Payroll Department.
10
00:00:21,950 –> 00:00:23,363
I’m Wendy Graham Settle.
11
00:00:24,200 –> 00:00:27,590
When Durango area resident
Jenny Northrop was working
12
00:00:27,590 –> 00:00:30,140
for Halliburton on fracking technology,
13
00:00:30,140 –> 00:00:33,400
she learned about a tool that
could reduce mineral deposits
14
00:00:33,400 –> 00:00:36,150
in oil wells without using chemicals.
15
00:00:36,150 –> 00:00:38,700
Now she is the first
licensed representative
16
00:00:38,700 –> 00:00:41,830
in the United States to sell the Enercat,
17
00:00:41,830 –> 00:00:44,930
a nanotechnology that
removes calcium carbonate
18
00:00:44,930 –> 00:00:46,550
in domestic water.
19
00:00:46,550 –> 00:00:49,754
Calcium carbonate is the culprit
behind the scaly deposits
20
00:00:49,754 –> 00:00:52,606
that wind up in your
pipes and water heater,
21
00:00:52,606 –> 00:00:55,920
reducing water flow and energy efficiency.
22
00:00:55,920 –> 00:00:59,463
It’s also the stuff that makes
your skin and hair feel dry.
23
00:01:01,020 –> 00:01:02,860
Well, it is a nanotechnology
24
00:01:02,860 –> 00:01:05,190
and what it does is it changes
the frequency of water.
25
00:01:05,190 –> 00:01:08,570
It uses metals and rare-earth minerals
26
00:01:08,570 –> 00:01:12,000
and crystals to change the
frequency of the water.
27
00:01:12,000 –> 00:01:14,250
What you see in the hard
water when you get build up
28
00:01:14,250 –> 00:01:16,750
on your pipes is the
scale out of the water,
29
00:01:16,750 –> 00:01:18,860
which is actually calcite.
30
00:01:18,860 –> 00:01:21,850
This changes that calcite into aragonite,
31
00:01:21,850 –> 00:01:24,270
which is a pokier structure,
32
00:01:24,270 –> 00:01:25,430
molecular structure,
33
00:01:25,430 –> 00:01:27,380
and it doesn’t stick to your pipes.
34
00:01:27,380 –> 00:01:30,470
It goes into solution
and stays in the water.
35
00:01:30,470 –> 00:01:32,660
It also improves the feel of your water,
36
00:01:32,660 –> 00:01:33,990
improves your hair.
37
00:01:33,990 –> 00:01:36,261
You have to use less soap in your washing,
38
00:01:36,261 –> 00:01:38,710
in dishes, and laundry.
39
00:01:38,710 –> 00:01:41,640
It also lowers the boiling point of water,
40
00:01:41,640 –> 00:01:44,533
which lowers your costs
on your hot water heater.
41
00:01:46,160 –> 00:01:48,840
The tool was developed in the 1990s
42
00:01:48,840 –> 00:01:52,260
by the Calgary based
Synergetic Oil Tools company.
43
00:01:52,260 –> 00:01:55,050
It uses a proprietary
mixture of quartz crystals
44
00:01:55,050 –> 00:01:56,680
and semi-precious metals
45
00:01:56,680 –> 00:01:59,870
to produce a negatively
charged passive energy wave
46
00:01:59,870 –> 00:02:01,040
that changes the structure
47
00:02:01,040 –> 00:02:03,900
of calcite molecules into aragonite
48
00:02:03,900 –> 00:02:05,920
so that it remains in solution rather
49
00:02:05,920 –> 00:02:08,970
than glomming onto your pipes or skin.
50
00:02:08,970 –> 00:02:11,335
The tool is quickly installed
around the metal intake pipe
51
00:02:11,335 –> 00:02:13,861
of your water heater and
within a few minutes,
52
00:02:13,861 –> 00:02:16,580
you can feel the difference.
53
00:02:16,580 –> 00:02:19,200
Northrop demonstrated
the energy it produced
54
00:02:19,200 –> 00:02:22,330
with two pieces of ice
that melted far faster
55
00:02:22,330 –> 00:02:25,640
on the Enercat than it
did on a ceramic plate.
56
00:02:25,640 –> 00:02:27,620
Users save money on energy costs
57
00:02:27,620 –> 00:02:29,530
because water heats more quickly.
58
00:02:29,530 –> 00:02:32,810
Soaps are more effective in
soft water so you use less,
59
00:02:32,810 –> 00:02:35,100
and the tool is maintenance free.
60
00:02:35,100 –> 00:02:37,410
Nor does the Enercat use salt, filters,
61
00:02:37,410 –> 00:02:39,255
or electricity to soften the water.
62
00:02:39,255 –> 00:02:42,190
The unit costs about $400.
63
00:02:42,190 –> 00:02:43,820
If you’d like to see a demonstration,
64
00:02:43,820 –> 00:02:48,820
contact Northrop at 779-9977.
