Morning ascensions start at 7:00 AM from Lake Farmington on Friday, and from Animas Valley Mall on Saturday and Sunday, with prime viewing at Saddleback Park, Lions Wilderness Park, and San Juan College. Evening balloon glows follow both nights, Friday at San Juan College and Saturday at the Farmington Civic Center, along with vendors and live music. The Farmington High Lady Scorpions volleyball team hosts Miyamura on Tuesday the 22nd at 6:00 PM. The ladies scorps hope to continue a phenomenal season and continue building a strong base before kicking off district play in a couple of weeks. Friday night, the Piedra Vista High School football team hosts Santa Fe at 6:00 for their homecoming game. The Panthers have had a dominant season so far and don’t plan on letting off the gas anytime soon. The Downtown Makers Market at Orchard Park holds its final market day of the season Thursday the 24th from 3:00 to 7:0 PM. Vendors are selling handmade goods, fresh produce, baked goods, and vintage fines. The downtown makers market will return next year.
