– Hi, my name is Ray Cody, and I’m the founder of the Telluride Autumn Classic. The Autumn Classic started out as the Telluride Festival of Cars and Colors, but in 2020 when COVID hit, we rebranded. The Autumn Classic, it’s a unique blend of motorcycles, aviation, and world-class cars. This year we’ve got Allen Grant as our guest host. Allen is a 1965 world champion. One of our other guests is Peter Miles. Peter was portrayed as the 15-year-old son of Ken Miles in the movie “Ford v Ferrari.” The event has several aspects to it. There’s a three-day platinum pass, which is an all-inclusive. There’s meals, there’s venue spaces that you can access. There’s casino night. The event has grown. What started out as a car show with 43 cars that really didn’t run, we pushed them out on the golf course, is now full. The golf course is full of world-class automobiles, literally from around the world. So we’re really proud of what we’ve done. Telluride is the draw, obviously. You could do a car show like this in Wichita, Kansas, and it wouldn’t have the same effect. But we’re so proud of this event. We’re so proud of how it’s grown. And my wife, Anita, is really the person that’s driven it. It’s the beauty of these mountains in the fall. It’s the color of the foliage. And we’re proud to be a part of the Telluride community.
