With summer well on its way, San Juan College Outdoor Equipment Rental has everything you might need to plan your next summer adventure. The Farmington Police Department invites families to join them on Farmington lake to kick off some summer fun, and the Four Corners Mental Wellness Resource Center is recognized with an award. You’re watching the Local News Network, brought to you by Man Cave Barber and Sunray Park and Casino. I’m Wendy Graham Settle. Join the Farmington Police Department and Farmington Fire Department at Farmington lake on Saturday, June 11th. The police department is hosting the family-friendly event, which will include a super-soaker course, dunk tanks, a bouncy house, and more. Kids are encouraged to bring their bikes and helmets for a bicycle safety course. Officers also will offer tours of Farmington lake, some canoes and life jackets will be provided but individuals are also encouraged to bring their own water equipment and life jackets to follow the tours. The event will be from 11 AM to 3 PM and the lake access fee will be waived during that time to encourage attendance. Hula Honey will sell shaved ice and the Farmington Regional Animal Shelter will have furry friends available for adoption. To learn more about Day at the Lake, visit fpdm.org.
