Northwest New Mexico Arts Council Recieves Lowe’s Foundation Grant

The Northwest New Mexico Arts Council received a $35,000 grant from the Lowe’s Foundation to revitalize the backyard space of Aztec’s Leanor Boutique Hotel and Airbnb, aiming to make it ADA accessible and provide jobs for local teens. The San Juan County Fair is celebrating its 140th year with a week-long event starting on August 9th, featuring a parade, animal events, vendor booths, and a carnival. Farmington Municipal Schools and Aztec Municipal School District will begin their school year in the first week of August, with staggered start dates for different grades. By Hannah Robertson.
