Wish you a safe holiday season with a few cooking tips. Make sure you are always supervising cooking food. Stay in the kitchen if food is frying, grilling or broiling. And make sure there’s a timer and you’re in the house. If food is simmering, baking or roasting, keep all flammable items away from your stove top, including loose fitting sleeves and outfits. And make sure to keep stove tops and ovens clean. Double check. All smoke alarms are working by testing them. And if you’re frying up a Turkey, make sure the bird is thawed first. Lastly, if you do have a fire, call 9 1 1 and get safely out of the house. Learn more about these and other stories online at Farmington Local News.
