Come welcome cyclists riding from Texas to Alaska to raise money for cancer research and treatment. The Four Corners Professional Women’s Summit returns this fall, and make sure to get your tickets for the Beloved Musical “Spamalot,” presented by the Four Corners Musical Theater Company. One of the longest annual charity bike rides in the world, Texas 4,000 is stopping by Farmington this weekend. Founded in 2003, Texas 4,000 raises money and awareness for cancer research and treatment by riding over 4,000 miles in 70 days. Students from University of Texas at Austin will be arriving in Farmington and will share their stories and messages of cancer treatment on June 4th at the San Juan Medical Foundation, beginning at 8:00 AM. The Foundation houses the Conley Hospitality House, which provides housing for families of patients with cancer and has been a recipient in the past of Texas 4,000 fundraising efforts. Since 2003, Texas 4,000 has raised nearly $13 million for cancer treatment, research, and prevention, and has pedaled over 5.7 million collective miles. Come enjoy the Broadway classic musical “Spamalot,” the story lovingly ripped off from “Monty Python & the Holy Grail.” Presented by the Four Corners Musical Theater Company, the 2005 Broadway production boast three Tony Awards and encourages the audience to always look on the bright side of life. The show runs June 8th through June 18th and tickets are on sale now. The Four Corners Professional Women’s Summit will return this fall. The event, which encourages networking and connecting for professional women of all ages in the Four Corners area, will be November 8th through the 9th. The theme this year is the balancing act, which will feature a variety of speakers and opportunities to meet other women from all over the region. Registration opens July 17th.
