Mancos Public Library and Mancos School of the West are collaborating to host two art workshops: a fall painting workshop on Saturday, Oct. 26 and a gel plate workshop on Saturday, Nov. 9. The Cortez Public Library will be closed Monday, Oct. 21st through Saturday, Oct. 26th in order to replace the HVAC system. Beginning Monday, October 21st, the city of Cortez will hold its second cleanup week and the Cortez Public Library will be temporarily closed. Meanwhile, the Mancos Public Library is collaborating with guests and organizations to bring seminars and workshops this fall. This cleanup week will also have an added e-waste recycling event on Saturday, October 26th at the Montezuma County Landfill, specifically for electronic items. Later on Saturday, November 9th, starting at 9:30 AM, Kathy Pike will be leading a gel plate workshop. Workshops are open to all experience levels, but space is limited. You can reserve your spot by purchasing a ticket online on the Mancos School of the West website.
