Denkai Animal Sanctuary has received a $10,000 grant from the Doris Day Animal Foundation to help subsidize veterinary care for senior pet owners across the Four Corners. The funding will support income-based assistance for a range of veterinary needs, including wellness exams, treatment for illness or injury, and emergency care. The nonprofit has served more than 35,000 animals since 2004 and says the grant will help reduce financial barriers for seniors while also expanding access to subsidized spay and neuter services. and that can be anything.
We have been basing our subsidies
off of the HUD government subsidy piece.
And so if somebody has 80% of that
income,
showing will gap 20%, for instance.
We’re hoping that we can help
at least 100 animals
subsidy wise, and hopefully it’ll be more.
