Local journalists. Local storytellers. Local impact.

News for Locals. By Locals.

Local NEWS Network was created with one simple belief:

Local communities deserve local stories.

We focus on the people, businesses, events, and everyday moments that make our towns unique. Our team lives here. We work here. We raise our families here. And we believe local news should reflect the pride, resilience, and spirit of the communities it serves.

We’re not here to create noise.

We’re here to create connection.

We produce consistent, community-focused video stories that highlight what matters most right here at home.

Community-First Journalism

We tell stories that uplift, inform, and strengthen local connections — without sensationalism.

Locally Owned & Operated

Our reporters, producers, and team members live in the markets we serve. We don’t report from a distance.

Multi-Platform Access

From digital screens to newsletters, mobile app, social media, and website — local news should meet you where you are.

Why local news matters to our communities

Submit your story

The Local NEWS Network has been instrumental in helping us get the word out about everything happening at SunRay Park and Casino. Their ability to pinpoint our specific target market and customize ads across locations made our marketing dollars work harder. We’ve grown our ability to reach people, and guests regularly tell us where they saw our ads and comment on the news displays.

I’ve appreciated watching Local NEWS Network rebuild and strengthen the foundation of local news in our community. Local news matters, and I’m proud to have Express Employment advertising alongside their programming. After more than seven years as a customer, I continue to be impressed with their growth and commitment.

Partnering with the Local NEWS Network has been tremendously successful for Telluride Regional Airport. The combination of local news and advertising is far more engaging than traditional ads, and it helped us become seen as a true part of the community.

Our Story

Local newspapers have been the backbone of communities for over 200 years, but during the last 20 years, they’ve virtually disappeared, creating more than 1,800 US news “deserts”, leaving 27,000 newsroom employees jobless, small communities uninformed, and small businesses without a way to reach local residents and visitors. ‍ Most of the remaining newspapers began charging for their digital news and installing paywalls - blocking non-subscribers from getting the news - even though 86 percent of Americans feel access to local news should be free ( Knight Foundation . ‍ Laurie Sigillito of Durango, Colorado, wanted to find a way to provide local news – supported by advertising revenue – to help small towns without reliable local news connect with each other, community leaders and local businesses. In 2013, she purchased the local cable access TV station in Durango, Colorado, where she already owned a sign and graphics business. At the TV station, she saw firsthand the impact that local news could have on a community. As a small business owner, Sigillito’s local newspaper had been her “go-to” advertising platform to reach her local prospects and customers. Traditional advertising was expensive, had limited targeting and not very effective. She wanted - READ MORE

Paige Sparks

With three Regional Emmy awards, and work featured on PBS, Netflix, Discovery, and the History Channel, Paige brings a professional storyteller’s knowledge to LNN.

Paige’s stories are intended to start conversations and foster connection, using community-centered stories as a way to elevate issues that often lack a platform. With three Regional Emmy awards and experience on national outlets like PBS, Netflix, Discovery, and the History Channel, I’ve honed a storytelling approach rooted in journalism, community, and empathy. Guided by the belief to “be the change you wish to see in the world,” I aim for work that helps people feel seen—whether through a powerful post-screening discussion or a single viewer expressing gratitude. I embrace a niche, human-centered approach that prioritizes care, inclusion, and meaningful impact over broad appeal.
