Exceptional Community Hospital has opened its doors in Farmington, bringing a concierge-style approach to acute medical care. Since opening Feb. 18, the facility has seen 50 patients a day — a pace that has surpassed expectations at all nine of the company’s operating locations.

The hospital, which took more than four years of planning and three years of construction, offers emergency-level services including treatment for chest pain, breathing difficulties, cuts, and infections. The facility can admit patients for conditions such as pneumonia and minor abdominal infections, transferring more critical cases to larger facilities. Hospital leadership says the goal is fast, patient-centered care in a warm, community-focused environment.
